Malévitch et les icônes

Il est possible de déceler une ressemblance entre la peinture de Malevitch et l’art de l’icône. Car ces deux types de peinture sont marquées par une forme de simplicité dans le trait. Dans l’icône, il n’y a aucune perspective, tout comme dans les portraits de Malevitch qui semblent mettre sur le même plan le paysage et le personnage.  L’atmosphère de ces œuvres est souvent statique.

It is possible to discover a link between Malevich’s painting and the art of the icon. For these two types of painting are marked by a form of simplicity in the line. In the icons there are no perspective, just as in Malevich’s portraits, which seem to put the landscape and the character on the same level. The atmosphere of these works is often static.
